Vintage 1960s Picnic Basket Set - French Holiday
This is a lovely vintage picnic set from the 1960s
This is exactly how i bought it, normally i would have split this set straight away, as it obviously wasn't originally bought like this. However, as i unwrapped the Melware plates, and found the union jack flags and tea towel, i began to realise it had probably been put together for a specific trip, back in the day
The tea towel came from a French Vineyard tour i think? so i can imagine the flags being used on an old car, and the rest used along the way for a picnic in a vineyard somewhere?
I have, offered some parts separately, just in case, or the whole lot together as a piece of social history
The basket is held together with rope, it contains a pair of ceramic mugs, a trio of plastic ones and a set of duck egg blue Melamine
